As museums continue to adopt a new museology (Vergo, 1989) approach shifting towards inclusivity and social engagement, using technology as a means. Given the rapid advancements and widespread adoption of AI chatbots, museums are beginning to leverage these tools in innovative ways.

This research will investigates the effect of human-like characteristics in LLM-powered avatars on user experience. Asking 'Does changing the anthropomorphic characteristics of an LLM affect how comfortable the user feels?'.

It will leverage HCI techniques to create a suitable experiment and measure the impact on user behaviour.
