Development of inventory management systems for robotics laboratories

This project aims to design and implement an advanced inventory management system tailored to the unique needs of robotics laboratories. Robotics labs often handle a diverse range of components, including robots, sensors and specialised tools, making efficient inventory tracking a challenging task.

The proposed system will utilise modern technologies such as open-source software, barcode or RFID tagging, and cloud-based databases to streamline inventory management. The aim is to enable precise tracking, localisation, and loaning of equipment while offering an intuitive and user-friendly interface for both the lab-management team and lab users. The student will be responsible for designing, implementing, validating, and testing a solution tailored for the Human-Centred Computing (HCC) and Robotics Laboratory.
