We live in an information-driven world in which users are influenced by the data they encounter online in their daily digital interactions. Ambiguous, false or unreliable information puts users at risk of experiencing misleading information that uses deception as a lucrative means. This project aims to explore the concept of deception in multiplayer games through the lens of 'misinformation'. The outcomes of the project include a review of state of the art, the design and development of a digital game system based on 'deception' and the evaluation of the experience with users.
