IoT devices sometimes don't have a lot of security and weaknesses of the device can be investigated and improved on. Using a systematic methodology involving penetration testing I will try to find vulnerabilities in the security of the IoT device chosen by the supervisor and I (which I would be happy to purchase). I would then be able to provide some recommendations for fixing these vulnerabilities. I will be using knowledge of networks and Wireshark.
