Individuals often struggle to effectively manage their personal finances as financial complexity is increasing. Financial disorganisation can lead to stress and clutter with savings and investment. This project seeks to provide users with a user-friendly and accessible web platform that simplifies budgeting, expense tracking, and financial goal setting.
Detailed issues: A lack of tools used for tracking expenses and budgeting and limited accessibility in terms of financial planning resources. There is a need for personalised insights in order to help users effectively reach their financial goals.
Approach to address issues: Developing a web platform with user interfaces for budget creation, logging expenses and tracking goals. Possibly include gaming aspects where users gain rewards - incentives so there is more user engagement.
Expected results: An interactive web page with bank end development to store data and data analysis as well as personalised recommendations for individual user profiles. User feedback will also be assessed for the platforms effectiveness.
Special resources needed: Software - Web development tools, version control (Git)
Ethical approval: Ethical considerations regarding data privacy and security - collecting and analysing personal financial data from participants
