Over the last ten years the School of Computer Science and Informatics has built up its engagement with industry and other external partners to provide meaningful opportunities to engage with students. These include:

Placements – including Professional Placement Year, Summer Placements, Work Experience; International – including Study Abroad and Global Opportunities; Projects – where partners act as clients and propose project ideas; Employability– including networking events, promoting job opportunities and recruiting placement students and graduates; Guest Lectures and Workshops – relating to specific modules or of general interest; Other Engagement – Hackathons, Student societies, visits. There are also opportunities for the School to work with Industry Partners on Research opportnities. The School would benefit from the development of a Industry Partners Relationship Management System to keep track of the Industry Partners and what opportunties the partners would like to get involved in.
