In tabletop gaming, namely Dungeons&Dragons, we aim to explore and tell complex and engaging stories. Those involved in creating these stories can intimately visualise them but when trying to recount these stories to others, it is often difficult for those listening to do the same. Similarly in Cyber Security, experts in the field may know an incident they are trying to convey inside out, but to a layman the explanation can be hard to understand. Demonstrating and recounting events visually can often help a layman understand events more effectively. I wish to record the events of a game of D&D such that it can be replayed later for others to watch in a digital form, hopefully improving their understanding of events relative to without the tool. I intend to achieve this by implementing my previous work of locating and identifying QR codes (representing characters) and a tile (the game map) within an image relative to each other and storing the QR codes location within a database. By implementing the QR code tracking for telling stories within D&D, the work shall be transferable into the cyber security setting for demonstrating and recounting cyber attacks to the layman.
