Over the past 18 months Cardiff Youth Service has needed to offer a range of digital services and opportunities to young people in the city. Moving into a Covid recovery model we still want to offer these services and opportunities as some young people prefer accessing our service online. Young people have told us they would like to engage with our service through discord and we now have a young person steering group to tell us how it should look, what it should include and what should be on offer on the sever. This project will involve using young peoples views and opinions to shape the server and also ensuring it complies with service requirements around safeguarding, monitoring of content and provides analytics of the engagement. Throughout the project you will work alongside a youth worker and be able to meet and work with the group of young people. In addition to creation of the server there will also need to be consideration of staff maintaining use of the platform through staff training.
