Often one of the security measures used by institutions such as banks is to ask you ‘secret questions’ such as ‘What was your first job?’ or ‘What was the name of your first pet?’. Many scams online and on social media attempt to target this information, and awareness has grown. We probably don’t think too much about divulging some of this information in casual conversation with people -it is unlikely that someone we meet will remember all the details from just a casual conversation, and less likely to then share it even further. But what happens when a robot is trying to engage you in conversation and can record everything? Potentially that data can be compromised. Prospective students will need to program the pepper robot to try to make conversational gambits and assess the likelihood that people will be tricked by these attempts.
