Identifying misinformation on Twitter using Machine Learning.

Since the introduction of social media, misinformation or "fake news" has been a recurring problem in which posts would convey a message that is dubious in nature. This poses a great threat to our society as individuals could easily be swayed by the wrong information, leading them to believe things that are not real. To guarantee the information the user views is true, I would like to utilize machine learning algorithms and NLP (natural language processing) in python to determine and display posts on recent Twitter posts on news accounts that contain misinformation. This helps people to avoid and report those accounts that are spreading false information, hopefully reducing the amount of misinformation present on Twitter.
