We have seen significant progress in medical imaging, which provides doctors/radiologists with a powerful tool for early diagnosis of diseases. However, it requires substantial expertise and is also time consuming to analyse CT images to identify and segment tumours. This project involves implementing some deep neural network based architectures and carry out experiments to test their strengths and weaknesses. The project will have a co-supervisor from PETIC (Wales Research and Diagnostic PET Imaging Centre).
