In the UK, the overall pass rate of practical driving tests is only around 50%. One of the top reasons for failing a driving test is "not responding correctly to traffic signs" (see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/top-10-reasons-for-failing-the-driving-test/top-10-reasons-for-failing-the-driving-test-in-great-britain). In this project, you will develop an application to help learner drivers get familiar with traffic signs on the roads. The app will utilize google street view to allow users to navigate along the roads they choose. When a traffic sign or road marking shows up, the app will use computer vision to detect and highlight these signs and markings, as well as explain their implications.
